Owel Obi Michael AKA Em Da Great is a Recording artiste, Singer, Rapper and Dancer. He is a native of Boki L.G.A in Cross River State but was born and breed in Lagos State. He began writing poetry when he was 7 years old and songs by 12. 
        The first time he got into a studio was in 2014 for his composition ‘Backward never’, but due to unforeseen circumstance he decided to put his musical endeavors on hold for a while. He resumed recording in 2018 when he moved to Ogun state with his family, became friends with Moses Okorie AKA WIZAED and was introduced to Allen Oshinbolu AKA JossyALLEN, who took him under his wing to improve his singing and rapping skills. He cites Jay-Z, Nas and Kendrick Lamar as notable rappers that he draws inspiration from.
         Em Da Great classifies his music majorly as Hip-Hop/Rap with influences from other genres as RnB, Pop, Trap and Rock.
